Florida Recall Incentive Program - Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the recall incentive program?
The Attorney General of the State of Florida is working with Honda to incentivize Floridians to have the defective Takata airbag inflator in their vehicle repaired.
As part of these efforts, certain Floridians who own Honda or Acura vehicles with unrepaired defective Takata airbag inflators will receive gift cards in the mail. When Honda confirms those consumers have had the Takata airbag inflator in their vehicle replaced, the gift card will become activated, and consumers can use the card the same as a debit card.Back To Top

This program prioritizes those owners with the highest risk inflators as determined by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.Back To Top

This program is in addition to the Multistate Attorney General resolution Florida (and 47 other states) reached with Honda in August 2020.Back To Top

Eligible owners of vehicles with alpha inflators (the highest risk inflators) will receive a gift card worth $150. Eligible owners of vehicles with other recalled Takata inflators will receive a gift card worth $50.Back To Top
- Why do owners of vehicles with alpha inflators receive a greater amount than other owners?
